Born in Ste-Anne, Manitoba, Canada, Marc Tetro studied design at LaSalle College in Montréal, Québec.

May 1985, a Picasso exhibition at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, inspired Marc to put brush to paper and create images to be produced on t-shirts. Sold at Eaton and Ogilvy department stores, the bold new style was a huge success.

February 1986, Marc creates a series of images for EXPO 1986 that are distributed nation wide by the T.Eaton Company.

September 1987, the Montréal Urban Community Transit Commission commissions Marc to create an image to promote public transportation.

July 1988, Tetro is commissioned by the World Philharmonic Orchestra to create an image for the 'Concert for Peace'.

February 1989, Marc is asked by the World Wildlife Fund to paint a series of images of endangered wildlife.
